We are looking for an experienced
PLANT MANAGER
for the Raisio Group's factory area in Raisio to lead our factory focusing on plant sterol ester production. Plant sterol ester is the active, cholesterol-lowering ingredient in Benecol® products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the production of our strong brands as well as responsibly manufactured and health-promoting foods. At the factory, we manufacture and package plant sterol ester – a unique ingredient developed and patented by Raisio, which can be added to food products. Benecol® products are sold globally in several continents.
As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and development of the production unit in a determined manner and in accordance with our strategy. You will manage daily management practices and develop operations in the long term. Our highly automated production plant operates in uninterrupted shift work in 12.5-hour shifts. You are responsible for developing your unit's productivity, cost management, and your area of responsibility regarding the planning and implementation of investments. Key objectives in your work are personnel well-being, safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery reliability. Sustainability is an essential part of our daily operations, and as a Plant Manager, you will play a significant role, among other things, in developing the resource efficiency of the unit.
You will be supported by Raisio's extensive production and expert network. You will report to the corresponding director regarding the company's operations.
Success in the position requires relevant higher education and several years of experience in demanding supervisory roles. We value experience in the food or chemical process industry, because the factory operates 24/7 and functions partly in ATEX conditions. You possess diverse technical and financial expertise. Your way of working is analytical, and you are interested in both continuous operational improvement and people management. We value solid expertise in the continuous improvement of production operations and the utilization of lean operating methods in both daily management and development. Six Sigma or equivalent proven skills will facilitate success in the role. You also communicate fluently in English.
