  • Monday to Friday
  • 7am to 5pm

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing quality products and is looking to build a long-term career with opportunities to develop and progress.

The role is based within a busy industrial manufacturing environment , so candidates should be comfortable working in conditions that can be noisy, dusty and dirty . The position involves regular physical activity, working around production machinery and handling manufactured products.

The Role

  • Setting up and operating production machinery and equipment
  • Removing finished products from moulds
  • Finishing and tidying manufactured products to the required standard
  • Carrying out visual quality checks and reporting any issues
  • Moving materials and finished products around the production area
  • Working to daily production targets and quality standards
  • Following all health & safety procedures and site rules
  • Keeping the working area clean, safe and organised
  • Working effectively as part of a team while also using your own initiative
  • Supporting other areas of production when required

Desirable Experience but not essential

The following experience would be advantageous, although training may be available for the right candidate:

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production or a similar industrial environment
  • Counterbalance forklift experience/licence
  • Experience operating overhead gantry cranes
  • First Aid qualification
