Middleware Engineer (Batch Ops)
Y RESPONSIBILITIES
Batch Operation Support to BAU operation and project for ActiveBatch, GoAnywhere and Tectia etc (40% to 60%)
The operation support includes but not limited to below:
- a. Perform batch job deployment
- b. Perform batch job configure update
- c. Perform batch job execution and recovery
Discuss with application teams and infra teams on batch solution and actively contribute in solution discussion for batch requirement (20% to 30%)
Engineer to leverage on platform and available capability to optimize operation efficiency (20% to 30%)
Support application deployment (10% to 20%)
All the support activities shall strictly follow established process
The engineer should follow the duty roaster to standby for out-of-office hour support
Some operation support is 24x7. Below are examples of support after office hours:
- a. If any production incident, the staff shall attend to the incident resolution immediately.
- b. The application deployment to production environment
- c. Platform Patch in all environments
- d. Support for project cutover
- e. Support for important service request upon manager approval
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in batch operation support or equivalent
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Basic operation system knowledge ( Windows & Unix )
