*Parts Counter Clerk ? Full Time*

R&M Truck & Trailer Repairs is proudly a Contract Navistar International® Dealer in Arnprior, Ontario. Locally owned and operated for over 30 years, we are a busy and growing repair facility that works on all makes and models.

We are currently looking for a *dedicated, reliable, and customer-focused individual* to join our Parts Team.

*Hours:* 44 hours per week *Schedule:* Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM ? 5:00 PM and Friday, 7:00 AM ? 4:00 PM *Weekends:* None *Compensation:* Based on experience and productivity

*ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Report directly to the Parts Manager
  • Determine, source, and locate parts required for the service department
  • Provide efficient and professional customer service in person, by email, and over the phone
  • Assist customers and technicians in identifying the correct parts, tools, and accessories
  • Use electronic parts catalogues and parts lookup systems to accurately identify required parts
  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, delivery times, and alternative parts when required
  • Obtain parts pricing and assist with preparing accurate estimates
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to prepare estimates in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Process orders, returns, exchanges, refunds, and payments accurately
  • Receive, inspect, label, and properly store incoming parts and inventory
  • Use computer software to track inventory, stock levels, and parts orders
  • Maintain accurate inventory and assist with inventory organization and control
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible parts department
  • Occasionally deliver or ship customer orders as required

*QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS*

  • Previous experience in a parts or inventory-related role within the automotive, truck, trailer, or equipment industry
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience using computerized parts and inventory systems
  • Ability to identify and source parts accurately and efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of automotive, truck, and trailer parts and systems
  • Heavy-duty truck and trailer parts experience is considered an asset

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*

This position involves extended periods of standing and walking, as well as bending, reaching, lifting, and handling automotive, truck, trailer, and equipment parts. Applicants must be comfortable lifting and moving parts weighing 50+ lbs.
