Fund Controller
About the Role
Our client, a leading US Private Equity firm, is looking for a fund controller to join the Real Estate Accounting team who will be responsiblefor the accounting, operational and reporting functions for their real estate funds.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fund accounting and reporting activities by reviewing monthly estimates, quarterly financial statements, and investor reports in compliance with US GAAP
- Review fund-level expense allocations, management fee calculations, and carried interest/promote computations to ensure accuracy
- Support preparation and delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements, including coordinating audits and regulatory reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and technical requirements by liaising with external auditors and advisors
- Review capital call and distribution calculations to ensure adherence to fund governing documents and distribution waterfalls
- Partner with Investor Relations to respond promptly to ongoing and ad hoc investor information requests
- Collaborate with finance, tax, operations, valuation, and asset management teams to address fund-related matters
- Support financial reporting and operational oversight of the firm’s Asia real estate investments
Preferred Competencies and Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, audit, or private equity/real estate finance
- Experience across public accounting and private industry environments is highly preferred
- Exposure to real estate, private equity, alternative investments, or asset management sectors is advantageous
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multiple stakeholders
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
