Location: London Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am–5:30pm Contract: Permanent, full-time Reports to: Partner Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to manage a portfolio of non-audit clients and oversee the delivery of accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment and payroll work. The role will focus on managing workflows, reviewing work prepared by internal staff and outsourcing partners, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery with minimal Partner involvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an allocated portfolio of non-audit clients.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, corporation tax and self-assessment work.
  • Coordinate and review payroll activities.
  • Review working papers and final outputs before Partner sign-off.
  • Manage day-to-day client and HMRC communications.
  • Plan and monitor workflows to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Supervise and support junior team members and outsourced staff.
  • Resolve routine matters independently and escalate key issues when required.
  • Support client satisfaction, billing and wider team objectives.

Requirements

  • ACCA, ACA, CTA or ATT qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Several years' UK practice experience across accounts and tax.
  • Strong experience reviewing accounts, CT600s and self-assessment returns.
  • Experience managing a client portfolio at senior or manager level.
  • Good working knowledge of UK payroll and RTI.
  • Strong communication, organisational and Excel/practice software skills.
  • Experience supervising junior or outsourced teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
