Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is growing and looking to add highly skilled Product Definition Senior Enginee to our team. This role is remote, and due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

About the role:

Apply established engineering standards, methods, and best practices related to product definition, GD&T, technical drawings, MBD, and PMI in all design deliverables.

Apply industry best practices: Implement and adhere to recognized standards (ASME, ISO, DIN) for critical areas like tolerancing, GD&T, MBD, and PMI within all project deliverables.

Support the application of digital tools and best practices throughout the product lifecycle to minimize design errors before physical build begins.

Utilize advanced scan-to-CAD techniques to convert raw point cloud data or .stl mesh files into accurate, manufacturable 3D models within Siemens NX.

Develop and manage complete engineering documentation packages, including 3D CAD models, comprehensive 2D drawings, detailed specifications, requirement matrices, and Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters, all while strictly adhering to established configuration control protocols.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in any STEM field, OR a minimum of eight (6) years of demonstrable professional experience within a scientific, engineering, or technology discipline.

Knowledge of industry best practices (ASME, ISO) governing engineering drawings, PMI implementation, and CTQ analysis.

Advanced user of Siemens NX/Teamcenter environments

The ability to interpret technical drawings and design intent notes

Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.

Proven capacity to meet deadlines, thrive under time constraints, maintain composure, and adeptly juggle multiple tasks with outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, engaging with employees and managers at all levels.

Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborative teamwork while thriving in a fast-paced, creative environment, enjoying the dynamic synergy of diverse teams.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly techniques relevant to aerospace applications is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize advanced scan-to-CAD techniques to convert raw point cloud data or .stl mesh files into accurate, manufacturable 3D models within Siemens NX.

Develop and manage complete engineering documentation packages, including 3D CAD models, comprehensive 2D drawings, detailed specifications, requirement matrices, and Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters, all while strictly adhering to established configuration control protocols.

Work with engineering for initial 2D concept of product

Create 3D product models, outlines, and layouts

Create dimensioned detail component drawings for high complexity parts

Apply tolerance stack-up analysis results to ensure correct fit and alignment, and performance of complex assemblies

Support product design reviews and coordinate work with project, engineering, and manufacturing teams

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications

Pay Ranges $80,000 — $85,000 USD
