Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor / East / In-house)

Key Responsibilities Maintain and improve equipment performance, reliability and availability to support manufacturing operations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment recovery to minimise downtime. Monitor equipment performance and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reliability and cost efficiency. Establish and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and standard operating instructions. Support the installation, start-up, commissioning and qualification of new equipment, including facilities hook-up, vendor coordination and equipment acceptance. Manage spare parts and consumables to ensure sufficient availability for manufacturing operations within the allocated budget. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and best-known methods to support effective equipment maintenance. Identify equipment issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment efficiency, reliability and operating costs. Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Ensure compliance with established quality standards, safety requirements and housekeeping practices. Requirements Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Hands-on experience in high-vacuum system maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred. Basic knowledge of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and processes. Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsible, proactive and able to work effectively in a team.
