About the job Do you want to develop AI solutions that make engineering processes more efficient and improve the quality of product data? As an Applied AI Engineer, you will work at the intersection of technology, data, and business. You will take AI ideas from needs and prototypes to working solutions in Microsoft Azure, with connections to engineering systems such as PLM. You will collaborate with both the business and technical teams to find use cases where AI can provide concrete benefits. The role is suitable for you who want to combine practical development with an understanding of how people and systems work together. Tasks Identify and analyze use cases for AI together with the business and translate needs into technical solutions.
Design and develop end-to-end solutions for various needs, from choice of technology and architecture to deployment.
Adapt and fine-tune AI models, for example language models and classification models, as well as prepare and evaluate data.
Develop and deploy AI models and services in Microsoft Azure with a focus on performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Build MCP servers that securely connect AI assistants and agents to engineering systems, data sources, and tools.
Develop and maintain AI pipelines, APIs, and integrations.
Work with MLOps and LLMOps methods for version control, CI/CD, monitoring, and management of the model lifecycle.
Ensure that solutions follow principles for data governance, information security, and responsible AI.
Support the implementation of solutions and help users get started with AI tools.
Requirements
Who are you? University education in computer science, data science, engineering, or equivalent competence.
Good programming skills in Python.
Practical experience in deploying and fine-tuning AI and machine learning models, including language models.
Experience in developing LLM solutions, for example RAG, AI agents, or integrations with tools.
Good competence in Microsoft Azure and experience in developing and deploying solutions in a cloud environment.
Good understanding of APIs, relational data models, and SQL.
Very good English in speech and writing.
Meritorious Experience with MCP.
Experience with, for example, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of C#/.NET or TypeScript.
Experience with Azure AI Foundry/Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, or App Service.
Experience with Docker, AKS, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
Experience with PLM systems and engineering processes.
Knowledge of Swedish.
