*Overview*

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shingler to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing roofing shingles efficiently and safely, ensuring high-quality workmanship that meets project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the durability and aesthetic appeal of various roofing projects, helping us deliver exceptional results to our clients.

*Duties*

  • Install roofing shingles accurately according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards
  • Prepare roofing surfaces by cleaning, repairing, or replacing damaged areas before shingling
  • Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to secure shingles in place
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure correct installation procedures
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support efficient workflow
  • Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weather resistance of roofs
  • Maintain a clean worksite by organizing materials and disposing of debris properly

*Requirements*

  • Proven experience with construction work, particularly roofing or siding installation
  • Skilled in using hand tools common in shingling tasks
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation for accurate project execution
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during installation processes
  • Carpentry or handyman experience is highly desirable for versatile skill application
  • Familiarity with caulking techniques and waterproofing methods
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to quality workmanship
