CNC (computer numerical control) programmer
Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
Tasks:
- Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs.
- Design plant layouts and production facilities.
- Conduct work measurement or other studies.
- Develop and carry out health, safety and fire prevention plans.
- Conduct safety training programs.
- Collect and analyze data and samples.
- Develop manufacturing and processing procedures.
- Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports.
Computer and technology knowledge:
- Computer-aided design (CAD).
- AutoCAD.
- Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
