Overhead Crane Operator – Structural Steel

Overhead Crane Operator/Material Handler Location: Richmond, VA Shift: 2nd Shift Pay Rate: Starts at $22.00/Hour and may be higher depending on experience, plus a $3.00/hour shift differential.  Job Description We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Crane Operator/Material Handler. This position involves working with our outside crew at the shop and performing a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities: Operate overhead cranes to load and move structural steel.

Use Pettibone equipment to transport steel around the yard.

Jockey trailers around the yard and unload incoming trailers.

Assist with outdoor material handling and daily shop operations.

Maintain reliable attendance and follow workplace safety procedures.

Requirements: Experience operating overhead cranes and handling materials.

Experience loading structural steel with an overhead crane is required.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Willingness to learn additional tasks; training may be available to qualified candidates.
