CNC Machine Operator

Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

Load and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.

Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.

Use tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.

Make basic programming edits and adjustments for different material sizes and thicknesses.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment as needed.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and shop safety standards.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

2+ years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.

Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings.

Proficiency with precision measuring tools.

Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
