CNC Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines
Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Load, position, and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment
Monitor machine operation and make adjustments for accuracy and quality
Use tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools
Make basic programming edits and machine adjustments for different material sizes and thicknesses
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic CNC equipment issues
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and shop safety standards
Qualifications 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience, preferably in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
Experience using precision measuring tools
Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
