Product Developer & Project Manager at Orkla Wound Care

Orkla Wound Care is looking for a Product Developer & Project Manager for its headquarters in Solna. We are looking for you who have a project manager profile and who are a civilingenjör or equivalent with a focus on material science or chemical engineering. This is a chance to work as a product developer within medical technology in a broad role with great development potential. In the role, you will work in an international environment as Orkla has factories and offices in several locations in Europe.

Orkla Health Wound Care develops, manufactures, and markets consumer products within wound care and first aid for both workplaces and industrial customers. The company has a strong tradition of its own product development and innovation and has played an important role in shaping the category for consumer wound care and first aid. Known brands within the category are Salvequick, Salvelox, and Norgesplaster within the B2C segment, and Cederroth First Aid and Snögg within B2B.

Within the Wound Care Category, approximately 35 people work at the office in Solna, where a total of approximately 220 employees work within Orkla's various product segments, with leading positions in the Nordics and a strong international presence.

The position is located in Solna Business Park and is a temporary position for approximately 12 months during parental leave. A warm welcome with your application, selection takes place continuously.

In the role, you are responsible for:

• Developing products and improving materials
• Leading improvement projects linked to products on the European market

• Preparing project documentation and technical product documentation.
• Performing simpler laboratory tests in connection with the product's development.

• Identifying new materials with a focus on sustainability and cost optimization.

In your role, you have large contact surfaces both externally and internally, and you develop and design products together with colleagues within marketing, purchasing, quality, regulatory, and production.

Who are you?

We believe that you are at the beginning of your career with some years of relevant professional experience. For this position, good knowledge of English is required, as well as preferably one of the Nordic languages. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is a requirement.

Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from a development department within medical technology
• Experience and interest in construction or design of new products

• Experience of different types of manufacturing methods
• Experience of laboratory work, material analyses, stability studies, as well as planning and execution of verification against established requirements

• Experience of risk analyses
