As part of QIMA’s Technical Team, you will support the Global Footwear Technical Leader on a key project focused on improving inspector effectiveness for footwear inspections globally. This is a content-driven and technical role with significant onsite exposure. It is ideal for someone passionate about footwear, product quality, and continuous improvement. You will contribute to the development of training content, inspector assessments, technical tools, and inspection processes across multiple countries. Your responsibilities will include: Training Content and Inspector Effectiveness Contribute to the development and improvement of the Footwear Curriculum . Support onsite training sessions and inspector assessments across multiple countries. Conduct workshop assessments to evaluate inspector performance and identify development needs. Contribute to the implementation of leather goods and raw materials training. Help ensure that training materials, assessment methods, and technical expectations are aligned with global standards. Continuous Improvement Measure the effectiveness and quality of inspection reports. Identify opportunities to improve technical performance and inspection consistency. Support the continuous improvement of footwear inspection processes and tools. Monitor, review, and improve key technical tools used by inspectors and technical teams. Structure and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and quality-related materials. Inspection Support Review incoming inspection orders and prepare upcoming orders. Ensure inspectors are properly aligned with project requirements, client expectations, and applicable standards. Support onsite inspections across multiple countries, primarily in Southeast Asia. Perform specific footwear inspections when required. Provide technical support to inspectors and project teams when needed. Digital and AI-Enabled Improvement Contribute to an AI-first mindset within the Technical Team. Explore and promote the use of AI and digital tools to improve training materials, technical documentation, inspection preparation, reporting, and operational efficiency. Support experimentation with practical AI-driven solutions that can strengthen processes and service quality. The role will combine office-based work with hands-on onsite experience and international travel. You will collaborate with technical teams, inspectors, project teams, and other internal stakeholders across QIMA’s global network.
Final-year student or recent graduate with a degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Textile Engineering, Product Development, or a related field. A background in footwear is strongly preferred. Knowledge of, experience with, or genuine interest in leather, leather goods, polymers, textiles, or raw materials is a plus. Strong interest in product quality, technical standards, inspection processes, and continuous improvement. Rigorous, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously. Confident in reviewing technical information and identifying inconsistencies or areas for improvement. Strong organisational and analytical skills. Willingness to travel internationally, primarily across Southeast Asia. Fluent in English, with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Genuine enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications in operations, quality control, training, or technical project management is a plus. Previous experience using AI tools to improve productivity, documentation, analysis, or decision-making is an advantage.
6-month contract within QIMA’s Technical Team. Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. International travel will be required, mainly within Southeast Asia. The role includes both office-based and onsite activities. Monthly compensation: EUR 700 to EUR 900.
