About the Role

You will become part of our Research and Development team at the Hilden location (near Düsseldorf) and work on the further development of innovative instrument and software solutions in the field of digital PCR. In your role as an Application Specialist, you will combine laboratory work, software testing, and the user perspective to continuously improve the functionality and performance of our systems. In doing so, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams from R&D, software development, and product management.

Your Tasks

• As part of our Research and Development team at our location in Hilden (near Düsseldorf), you will contribute significantly to the development of innovative System Solutions for the digital PCR system.
• Depending on the project status, you are responsible for the independent software testing from an end-user perspective of our digital PCR software solutions and their documentation, or for the independent planning and execution of experiments and sub-projects in the laboratory, including their documentation and data preparation.
• Your support for smooth day-to-day operations in the laboratory is part of your daily tasks, including the creation of and handling of verification plans and SOPs.
• Literature research on project-related methods and the development of suggestions for product improvements is desirable.

Your Profile

• You hold a Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry, ideally with a focus on molecular biology.
• Ideally, you bring initial practical professional experience (approx. 1–5 years) in a molecular biology laboratory.
• Through your previous education or professional experience, you have acquired knowledge of various PCR application areas in theory and practice (digital PCR; real-time PCR, endpoint PCR).
• You are known for your comprehensive knowledge of common molecular biology methods and your strong technical understanding.
• Initial experience in software testing, data analysis, or automation, such as programming macros in Microsoft Excel, Py-Scripts, is an advantage.
• You communicate confidently in English; German language skills are desirable.
