North Tyneside | £40,000–£55,000 DOE | Flexible Working

I'm working with an established North East law firm that is looking to strengthen its Private Client team with an experienced Probate Solicitor. This isn't a role limited to straightforward estate administration. You'll work directly with clients through what can often be one of the most difficult periods in their lives, managing matters from initial instruction through to completion and dealing with the legal, practical and financial issues that arise along the way.

The caseload will include:

• Estate administration, including more complex estates
• Applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
• Wills and estate planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection matters
• Inheritance Tax and succession planning
• Trust advice and drafting

There is plenty of client contact, so this will suit someone who enjoys building relationships as well as getting into the technical detail of their files. You'll have responsibility for your own caseload, with the support of an established Private Client team around you.

They're looking for a solicitor with existing Probate or Private Client experience, ideally someone already comfortable managing their own files and dealing directly with clients. Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to keep matters moving are important, but so is the ability to communicate clearly and provide a genuinely personal service.

The team is continuing to develop, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience beyond pure estate administration and become an important part of the department's ongoing growth. Flexible working is available, alongside a salary of £40,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
