NOC Engineer

Job Description:

• Manage daily network operations within a Data Center environment, ensuring 24/7 high availability and optimal network performance.
• Monitor all private and public connections, including inter-device communication, Data Center/Local Loop links, IPLC, and BGP Internet connectivity.
• Conduct continuous network health surveillance and execute standardized daily operational monitoring checklists.
• Promptly respond to alerts and alarms from Network Monitoring Systems (NMS), email notifications, and group communications.
• Open and manage trouble tickets with service providers and vendor partners for hardware, Local Loop, IPLC, and BGP Internet issues, actively tracking progress until resolution.
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and configuration for new network devices and connections across the Data Center infrastructure.
• Escalate unresolved incidents to the NOC Lead or Management following established escalation matrices.

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Technical Engineer, Network Engineer, or NOC Specialist.
• Language: Professional English literacy (spoken and written communication skills).
• Work Schedule: Experience and willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift model.
• Technical Fundamentals: Strong conceptual understanding of OSI End-to-End Communication Model and TCP 3-way handshake mechanism.
• Routing Protocols: Hands-on knowledge of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS.
• Network & Security: Proficiency in IPSec, QoS, VLAN, STP, and Network Monitoring Systems (e.g., SolarWinds, Cacti, Smokeping).
• Hardware & Systems: Familiarity with Load Balancing switches, with hands-on experience using Cisco and Huawei equipment.
• Certifications: Active professional network certification (minimum CCNA, HCIA, JNCIA, MTCNA, or CCNP).

Work Location & Schedule: Schedule: 24/7 Rotational Shift (Morning / Night / Off) as per operational requirements. Primary Work Location (Command Centre): DC1 - Gedung Cyber / NTT Data Center, Jl. Kuningan Barat No. 8, South Jakarta 12710.

Secondary Location: DC2 - DCI Indonesia Building, MM2100 Industrial Town, Jl. Jawa Blok GG-5 No. 1, Cibitung, Bekasi 17520.
