Role Overview We seek a Full Stack Engineer specializing in Golang, relational databases, cloud, reporting, and system integration. The position combines backend engineering, L2 application support, insurance/TPA business analysis, and responsible AI-assisted problem solving to improve production reliability and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1 L2 Application Support & Troubleshooting
- Handle escalations from L1 IT Support; investigate application, database, API, integration, business-logic, and performance incidents in production.
- Use logs, SQL, monitoring data, and API responses to diagnose issues; perform root cause analysis (RCA), implement fixes, and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with IT Support, Engineering, and Operations; document incidents, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge transfer to strengthen L1 resolution.
2 Backend Development & Database Management
- Build, debug, maintain, and optimize backend services and internal automation tools using Golang (Go); deliver clean, modular, testable code.
- Work with PostgreSQL and other RDBMS, especially Microsoft SQL Server; design and optimize complex SQL, joins, views, stored procedures, and functions.
- Investigate data inconsistencies, transactions, data integrity, query execution, application bottlenecks, and performance issues.
3 Reporting & Data Analysis
- Create and maintain operational reports, SQL-based data extracts, business dashboards, and reliable data transformation processes.
- Analyze claims, membership, policies, benefits, provider transactions, billing, and other insurance/TPA operational information.
- Resolve discrepancies between source systems and reporting outputs; optimize query/report performance and translate business reporting needs into solutions.
4 System Integration & Cloud
- Develop and troubleshoot internal/external integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and related data-exchange technologies.
- Support insurance company, healthcare provider, third-party, and internal application integrations; handle authentication, mapping, monitoring, failures, and retries.
- Work with cloud infrastructure (preferably Google Cloud Platform), deployments, logging, production monitoring, reliability, and performance improvements.
5 Insurance & TPA Business Analysis
- Understand member enrollment and eligibility, policy periods, coverage, benefits, claims adjudication, exclusions, excess, and provider billing.
- Compare expected business rules with application behavior and database records; collaborate with Claims, Operations, Finance, and Support on solutions.
6 AI-Assisted Engineering & Automation
- Apply AI tools to coding, SQL analysis, debugging, incident/log review, documentation, reporting, and repetitive support workflows.
- Explore AI for knowledge search, incident classification, business-rule validation, and automation; verify AI outputs and protect sensitive data.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; at least 2 years in software engineering, backend development, or application support.
- Strong Golang (Go) skills for backend services, debugging, maintenance, and API development.
- Strong PostgreSQL and RDBMS fundamentals; working experience with Microsoft SQL Server or comparable relational databases.
- Proficient in SQL joins, aggregations, views, stored procedures, query optimization, and investigation of data discrepancies.
- Experience developing operational reports, SQL data extraction, and troubleshooting reporting accuracy/performance.
- Experience building, consuming, testing, and troubleshooting REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP, and core deployment, logging, and monitoring concepts.
- Comfortable with Git, SDLC, application logs, debugging tools, and basic frontend troubleshooting.
- Practical use of AI coding/productivity tools for technical analysis, development, and troubleshooting, with independent verification.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, cross-team communication, and willingness to learn insurance/TPA operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in Insurance, Insurtech, Healthcare Technology, TPA, or Financial Services; understanding of policy coverage, eligibility, benefit limits, claims, exclusions, and excess.
- Hands-on L2/L3 application support, production incident response, RCA, and prevention of recurring issues.
- Advanced PostgreSQL / Microsoft SQL Server: execution plans, indexing, transactions, stored routines, and performance tuning.
- Reporting and dashboard tools such as Apache Superset, Metabase, or similar BI platforms.
- GCP services including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Logging; cloud deployment and observability.
- Microservices, event-driven architectures, queues/messaging, asynchronous jobs, API gateways, and third-party integration monitoring.
- Building operational automation, scheduled jobs, scripts, or internal tooling for reliability and productivity.
- Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, or Model Context Protocol (MCP); AI-assisted support and reporting use cases.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Resolve L2 escalations faster while improving documentation and L1 team independence.
- Reduce repeated incidents through RCA, preventive fixes, and stronger production monitoring.
- Maintain reliable Golang services, accurate RDBMS data, efficient reporting, and resilient integrations.
- Reduce manual insurance/TPA operational effort with practical automation and responsible AI adoption.
- Align technical solutions with real business processes and improve internal user/service quality.
