The company operates a manufacturing facility in Tangerang and produces a range of electrical equipment, including transformers, medium and low voltage switchgear, distribution panels, substations, and energy storage solutions. With a focus on quality, safety, and compliance with applicable electrical standards, the company is expanding its technical team to support growing manufacturing and field installation activities across Indonesia.

Job Role The MV Cable Technician – Termination & Jointing is a senior hands-on technical role responsible for leading a team of technicians in the termination, jointing, installation, testing, and commissioning of Medium Voltage (MV) cable systems ranging from 20 kV to 36 kV. The role will oversee technical execution both at manufacturing and project sites, ensuring cable termination and jointing works are completed according to technical drawings, manufacturer specifications, applicable electrical standards, and K3 requirements. The position will also be involved in inspection before energization, cable testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex MV cable and termination issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technicians in MV cable termination and jointing activities for 20 kV–36 kV systems.
• Supervise MV cable installation based on technical drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Ensure proper installation of indoor and outdoor MV cable termination and jointing systems.
• Inspect and verify completed termination and jointing work before energization.
• Lead cable testing and commissioning activities for MV electrical systems.
• Perform and supervise VLF, Megger/Insulation Resistance, and Continuity Testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MV cables, terminations, and joints.
• Coordinate field installation activities with project, engineering, and site teams.
• Ensure all technical work complies with applicable electrical standards and company procedures.
• Ensure strict implementation of K3 and electrical safety procedures during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Maintain technical reports and documentation related to installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior technicians and installation team members.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum SMK, D3, or S1 degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of total hands-on experience in Medium Voltage cable termination and jointing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Team Leader, Technician Leader, or Supervisor for MV installation teams.
• Strong practical knowledge of MV cable termination and jointing for 20 kV–36 kV systems.
• Experienced in handling various types of MV termination and jointing kits from major industry manufacturers.
• Good understanding of electrical power distribution systems and MV switchgear.
• Able to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical layout/blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with VLF Testing, Megger/Insulation Resistance Testing, Continuity Testing, and commissioning procedures.
• Good understanding of applicable electrical standards, including IEC, PUIL, and SPLN.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures and K3 requirements.
• Able to lead, supervise, and provide technical direction to a team of technicians.
• Basic English proficiency for understanding technical terminology, electrical documentation, and reports.
• Willing to work on-site and travel for customer visits or project assignments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
