About this role Every client product leaving our factory must pass BPOM and halal requirements, and its label must be correct before printing. As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you hold that process from the beginning until the distribution permit number is issued. You will work closely with the R&D, Purchasing, Sales teams, and directly with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and monitor the registration of processed food distribution permits (BPOM MD) through the BPOM e-Registration system, including new registrations, variations, and renewals.
  • Manage product halal certification through SIHALAL (BPJPH) together with LPH, including the completeness of ingredient documents and updating the ingredient list.
  • Review label manuscripts and packaging artwork before printing: registered product name, distribution permit number, composition, nutrition facts, claims, warnings, and net weight must be consistent across panels and across packaging sizes.
  • Evaluate formulas and raw materials against applicable regulations (BTP limits, permitted ingredients, claim requirements) before the formula is locked by R&D.
  • Collect and verify supporting documents from suppliers: CoA, specifications, ingredient halal certificates, and MSDS.
  • Coordinate external laboratory tests required for registration.
  • Serve as the regulatory point of contact for contract manufacturing clients: explaining requirements, timelines, and document deficiencies in clear language.
  • Manage regulatory archives (distribution permit decrees, halal certificates, validity periods) and provide alerts before anything expires.
  • Monitor changes in BPOM and BPJPH regulations, then communicate the impact to the internal team.
  • Support audits and the maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certifications regarding regulatory documentation aspects.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in Food Technology, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • 2–4 years of experience in processed food Regulatory Affairs, and having directly managed BPOM MD registrations, not just assisted.
  • Understanding of BPOM regulations regarding processed food labeling, BTP, and claims, as well as the halal certification workflow through SIHALAL.
  • Detail-oriented. You will be the last person to see the label before thousands of packages are printed.
  • Able to manage multiple registrations simultaneously and maintain timelines.
  • Good written and oral communication in Bahasa Indonesia; able to read technical documents in English.
  • Willing to work on-site in Batuceper, Tangerang.
