Position Summary The Junior Associate, Reporting is responsible for supporting financial reporting, bookkeeping, and month-end closing activities. This role assists in preparing and validating financial data from transaction systems, supporting consolidated reporting, preparing financial statement schedules, and performing basic variance analysis. The role also supports regulatory reporting to Bank Indonesia and the annual financial statement audit by ensuring that required financial data, schedules, and supporting documents are accurate, complete, and available on a timely basis.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial reports by collecting, compiling, and validating financial data from relevant entities and transaction systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare monthly bookkeeping data from transaction systems and review the underlying information to identify missing, inconsistent, or unusual transaction data before the closing process.
- Support the month-end closing process by preparing accounting schedules and supporting data for accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other required closing activities.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing trial balances and performing account reconciliations to ensure that financial balances are properly recorded and supported by relevant documentation.
- Assist in preparing draft financial statements and supporting schedules, ensuring that the information is consistent with the underlying accounting records.
- Perform basic financial variance analysis by comparing actual results against prior periods or other relevant benchmarks, and highlight significant movements or discrepancies for further review.
- Prepare and validate supporting data, schedules, and documentation required for regulatory reporting to Bank Indonesia, ensuring consistency with the underlying financial records.
- Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules, transaction details, supporting documents, and other information requested by external auditors.
- Coordinate with relevant Finance and business teams to obtain, validate, and reconcile financial data or supporting documents required for reporting, closing, and audit activities.
- Maintain organized financial reporting files, working papers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, as well as assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting required by the Finance team.
Qualifications
- Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including journal entries, general ledger, and reconciliation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly lookup functions and Pivot Tables.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with high-volume daily transactions and fixed deadlines.
- Able to identify discrepancies, perform basic analysis, and follow up on outstanding items accurately.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience using Xero or other accounting software is an advantage.
- Internship experience at a public accounting firm (KAP) is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents.
- Able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external auditors.
