Position Summary The Junior Associate, Accounts Receivable is responsible for supporting daily accounts receivable operations, particularly partner settlement, transaction reconciliation, billing, and receivables monitoring. This role ensures that incoming funds from overseas partners are properly verified, recorded, and reconciled against transaction data, while supporting timely follow-up of outstanding receivables and discrepancies. The role also contributes to monthly revenue closing and the preparation of accurate transaction and financial data for internal and partner reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Verify daily settlements received from overseas partners by matching settlement amounts against transaction records and supporting documents, and ensure partner revenue is accurately recorded by transaction batch.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of incoming funds from cross-border partners and identify discrepancies between transaction records, settlement reports, and actual funds received.
  • Investigate and follow up on settlement discrepancies, including short payments, overpayments, missing transactions, and timing differences, in coordination with relevant internal teams and partners.
  • Monitor partner advances and accounts receivable balances, maintain accurate aging records, and support timely follow-up of outstanding or overdue partner receivables.
  • Prepare partner billing data, invoices, and supporting documents for revenue-sharing calculations, ensuring the amounts are consistent with transaction records and agreed arrangements.
  • Support the monthly revenue closing process by preparing relevant accounting schedules and data, including service fee accruals, foreign exchange differences, and accounts receivable reconciliation.
  • Prepare periodic transaction, settlement, revenue, and receivable reports for external partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring the data is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain organized records of settlement reports, reconciliation results, invoices, billing documents, and other supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Product, and relevant partner teams to resolve transaction, settlement, billing, and receivable issues in a timely manner.
  • Support ad-hoc financial data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting activities required by the Finance team.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including journal entries, general ledger, and reconciliation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly lookup functions and Pivot Tables.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with high-volume daily transactions and fixed deadlines.
  • Able to identify discrepancies, perform basic analysis, and follow up on outstanding items accurately.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience using Xero or other accounting software is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents.
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
