Job description About the role Lead the end-to-end procurement process for a diverse range of commodities and products within a general trading environment. Oversee and coordinate all international and domestic freight forwarding operations (Sea, Air, and Land). Manage all import/export documentation and customs clearance processes, ensuring strict adherence to international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and local customs policies.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for a diverse range of commodities and products within a general trading environment, and freight forwarding
- Identify, evaluate, and establish strong partnerships with both domestic and international suppliers
- Oversee and coordinate all international and domestic freight forwarding operations (Sea, Air, and Land)
- Manage shipping schedules, cargo tracking, and ensure smooth transit of goods
- Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) with global suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and global freight rates
- Implement cost-reduction strategies and optimize the supply chain network to maximize company profitability
- Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop proactive contingency plans
- Manage, mentor, and drive performance within the procurement and logistics teams
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience in Freight Forwarding company and Trading Company as a Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or similar leadership role
- Strong, hands-on background in both General Trading and Freight Forwarding industries
- Deep understanding of international trade laws, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS
- Solid experience in sourcing diverse categories of goods in a trading business model
- Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills
- Strong leadership abilities to manage, mentor, and drive performance within the procurement and logistics teams
- Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken)
