L2 CDU / Cooling & Facility Engineer (DC Operations – L2)
Overview The L2 CDU / Cooling & Facility Engineer is responsible for supporting the operationand maintenance of cooling systems and facility infrastructure within a high-density GPU data centre environment. The role focuses on maintaining reliable cooling and facility operations, responding to environmental or equipment issues, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and coordinating with facility teams and vendors when required.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain cooling systems and related infrastructure supporting high-density data centre environments.
- Monitor key cooling conditions such as flow, pressure, temperature, and system condition to ensure reliable operation.
- Respond to thermal, cooling, or leak-related alerts and perform appropriate troubleshooting and escalation.
- Support preventive maintenance activities for cooling equipment and related components in coordination with facility teams and vendors.
- Monitor power and thermal conditions at the equipment and rack level and support capacity planning activities where required.
- Maintain relevant facility monitoring records, maintenance schedules, and operational documentation.
- Support compliance, audit, and maintenance documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with facility teams, OEMs, and other technical stakeholders for on-site activities and equipment-related issues.
- Record and manage relevant incidents, changes, and maintenance activities through the designated ITSM system.
Qualifications Must-Have Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in data centre facilities, cooling systems, facility engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with data centre cooling and facility infrastructure.
- Experience supporting liquid cooling or cooling systems in high-density or critical infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with facility systems such as chilled water, cooling units, UPS, PDU, power distribution, fire protection, and leak detection systems.
- Experience with facility monitoring systems and interpretation of environmental or equipment data.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and facility operations.
- Knowledge of relevant mechanical and electrical safety practices, including safe isolation procedures.
- Experience coordinating with vendors or OEMs for maintenance and technical activities.
- Willingness to provide on-call support when required.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with working proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high-density GPU, HPC, or other critical data centre environments.
- Experience with CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit), direct liquid cooling, or similar cooling technologies.
- Familiarity with DCIM/BMS or similar facility monitoring platforms.
- Experience with facility maintenance and vendor-managed maintenance programs.
- CDCP, CDCS, or equivalent data centre facility certification.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
- Relevant OEM cooling or liquid cooling training, such as Vertiv, Motivair, Schneider, or equivalent.
