Videographer – Gaming Events & Offline Activations Base Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Travel: Required, depending on tournament and event locations Project Type:*Gaming Tournaments / Offline Events Language: Bahasa Indonesia (English is a plus)
Job Responsibilities
- Event Photography, Videography & Content Capture
- Responsible for on-site photography and videography for gaming tournaments, brand activations, and other offline events.
- Capture key moments including gameplay highlights, winning moments, player reactions, audience interactions, behind-the-scenes activities, and overall event atmosphere.
- Understand the types of visual angles, shots, and moments that perform well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.
- Execute shoots based on the provided shot list / storyboard, while proactively identifying and capturing unexpected, exciting, or highly engaging moments.
- Organize, back up, and deliver raw footage and photo materials promptly after each event.
- Video Editing & Content Team Collaboration
- Assist the team with editing and post-production of short-form social media videos.
- Work closely with the Content Director to ensure the final content matches the intended creative concept, storytelling direction, and visual standards.
- Coordinate with the Event/Tournament Director regarding shooting schedules, camera positioning, technical requirements, and on-site execution.
- On-Site Communication & Execution
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, local event staff, participating players, venue representatives, and other relevant parties.
- Adapt quickly to changes in event schedules, shooting requirements, and on-site conditions.
- Support smooth communication between the production/content team and local stakeholders.
Requirements Photography & Videography Experience
- Hands-on experience in photography and/or videography.
- Strong understanding of visual composition, framing, lighting, and video aesthetics.
- Experience covering esports, gaming events, sports events, tournaments, concerts, or large-scale offline events is highly preferred.
Understanding of Tournament & Event Moments
- Able to understand the rhythm and flow of tournaments and live events.
- Sensitive to key moments such as decisive gameplay, winning moments, player emotions, crowd reactions, and unexpected highlights.
- Able to anticipate important moments rather than simply recording what happens.
Social Media & Short-Form Content Awareness
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Good sense of what makes a shot visually engaging, shareable, or potentially viral.
- Understands short-form content pacing, hooks, reactions, and social-media-friendly visual storytelling.
Equipment & Software Skills
- Familiar with cameras, lenses, gimbals/stabilizers, and other commonly used production equipment.
- Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
- Basic photo editing and color correction skills are an advantage.
Work Adaptability
- Responsible, proactive, and able to respond quickly in fast-moving environments.
- Comfortable working under the high-intensity conditions of live tournaments and events.
- Willing to work flexible hours and travel to other cities according to the event schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the gaming or esports industry.
- Experience producing content specifically for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or other social media platforms.
- Skills in short-form video editing, color grading, and photo retouching.
- Familiarity with Indonesian gaming culture, player communities, and esports communities.
- Portfolio demonstrating event photography, videography, gaming/esports coverage, or short-form social media content is highly preferred.
