QA Automation Engineer (Mobile) – Client Media & Entertainment | Central Jakarta

About the Role: Do you like reading comics and finding bugs before users do? This role could be a great match. KAZOKKU is looking for a QA Automation Engineer for our client, a media & entertainment company that creates comics, animation and other original content. You'll work on their comic reading app, which is already live on Android and iOS. A Maestro test suite is already running, and your job is to check it, improve it and add new flows.

  • Contract: Project-based, 3 months (extendable)
  • Work Arrangement: Full WFO
  • Office Location: Duta Merlin, Petojo Utara, Gambir, Central Jakarta
  • Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00–19:00
  • Notice Period: Immediate / ASAP
  • Device: Bring your own laptop (MacBook preferred)

What You'll Do:

  • Check the existing Maestro flows and make sure they test the right things
  • Write new Maestro flows when new features come in
  • Run tests with the team's runner scripts and visual regression checks (reg-suit)
  • Test the app on real Android & iOS devices, with automation and manual testing
  • Run regression tests for every monthly release
  • Write bug reports and test reports in English

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–5 years of experience in QA, especially on mobile apps
  • Can read and write Maestro flows
  • Experience testing React Native / Expo apps
  • Comfortable with manual testing and regression testing
  • Can write clearly in English
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience matters more
  • Have your own laptop (MacBook is a plus, for iOS testing)
  • Ready to start ASAP and work from the office

Plus points:

  • Has used visual regression tools like reg-suit
  • Strong in Appium, Detox or Katalon mobile and quick to learn Maestro
  • Has tested consumer content apps before (reader, streaming, in-app purchases)
