Your tasks
This is a senior tailoring position. You will be the Lead Tailor in our store, responsible for pattern making, garment construction and ensuring all garments are finished to the highest professional standards.
- Lead pattern making and garment construction in our dressmaking studio.
- Draft professional patterns for a wide range of women's clothing.
- Turn client designs and reference photographs into finished garments.
- Carry out fittings, adjustments and pattern corrections.
- Work closely with our production team to ensure accurate construction.
- Maintain excellent quality control and professional finishing standards.
- Ensure all assigned garments are completed within production deadlines.
Requirements
STRICT REQUIREMENTS
- MUST have excellent pattern-making skills across all types of women's clothing.
- Extensive experience in women's dressmaking, including dresses, eveningwear, fitted garments, trousers, skirts, blouses and more.
- Able to create accurate patterns from measurements, photographs and client designs.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fitting, alterations and finishing techniques.
- Confident working independently from design through to finished garment.
- Able to make pattern adjustments and solve fitting problems.
- Excellent sewing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with different fabrics, including delicate and luxury materials.
- Able to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines.
- Professional, reliable, organised and a strong team player.
- Menswear experience is a bonus, but our main focus is women's fashion.
IMPORTANT This position is for an EXPERIENCED MASTER TAILOR, not a beginner or sewing assistant.
You must be highly confident in professional pattern making and producing quality women's garments independently.
