QC Inspector
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensures all approved incoming materials were confirmed according to specifications required.
- Ensures all documented results from inspection and testing is accurate.
- Final inspection of all jobs performed in the facility and 100% inspection of finished components.
- Accurately document the results of the inspection and testing.
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and updated calibration status.
- Oversee Pressure Testing of assembled parts to ensure that all acceptance criteria has been met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests in conjunction with controlled drawings and applicable standards.
- Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
- Conducting visual mechanical inspection of components.
- Coordinate calibration of all test and measuring equipment.
- Maintain controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols and checklist.
- Work with Production Management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblies regarding accuracy assembly procedures.
- Any other duties deemed fit by Department Head.
KEY AUTHORITY :
- Hold supply of non-conformance (NC) products received from supplier.
- Carrying out audits and inspections.
- Oversee the proper identification for all parts and components used in the production process.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement test; returning products for rework; confirming re-work.
COMPETENCY :
- Minimum high school degree from related background.
- Minimum 2 years experience as QC Inspector in manufacture industry.
- Understanding of quality control methodologies, inspection techniques and industry standards.
- Able to research, read and interpret drawings, technical manuals, and directives.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively using own initiative.
