QA (AS400)

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on AS400 (IBM i) applications.

Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and AS400 workflows to create effective test scenarios and test cases.

Execute manual and basic automation testing using Katalon to support regression and repetitive test cases.

Conduct performance and load testing using Apache JMeter to validate system stability and response time.

Validate batch jobs, reports, and data processing in AS400 environments.

Perform data validation by comparing AS400 database outputs with expected results.

Log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

Support SIT and UAT activities, including test execution, documentation, and evidence preparation.

Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

Ensure testing activities comply with QA standards and SDLC processes.

Requirements

Experience as a QA Engineer testing AS400 (IBM i) applications.

Strong understanding of AS400 business flows, batch processing, and reporting.

Experience with Katalon Studio for basic test automation.

Experience using Apache JMeter for performance and load testing.

Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

Familiar with SIT/UAT processes and defect lifecycle management.

Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
