Job Description:
- Develop, write, review, and maintain clear, accurate, and structured technical documentation to support product development, business operations, and organizational initiatives.
- Translate complex technical concepts, solutions, strategies, and business requirements into easy-to-understand documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Produce various types of documentation, including technical specifications, system documentation, user guides, process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), functional documentation, and implementation guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and business stakeholders, to gather information and validate documentation requirements.
- Create and maintain product development, system design, process, and marketing-related documentation in accordance with project and business needs.
- Review and edit existing documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, readability, completeness, and compliance with established documentation standards.
- Organize and maintain documentation repositories, ensuring documents are properly version-controlled, accessible, and up to date.
- Conduct interviews and working sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand technical solutions, system functionality, and business processes.
- Develop visual documentation, including process diagrams, workflows, system architecture diagrams, and other supporting materials where required.
- Ensure documentation aligns with organizational policies, industry standards, confidentiality requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Support project documentation activities throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Manage multiple documentation assignments simultaneously while meeting project deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation templates, writing standards, and knowledge management practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in English, Technical Communication, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar technical documentation role.
- Experience working in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred, particularly in roles involving technical documentation, financial systems, or banking technology projects.
- Experience working for a consulting firm or professional services company is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining technical documents, user guides, system documentation, functional specifications, process documentation, and SOPs.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and validate technical information through collaboration with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), business processes, and IT project environments.
- Understanding of banking or financial services processes, systems, and documentation requirements is an advantage.
- Experience creating visual documentation, including workflows, process maps, and system diagrams, is preferred.
- Proficiency in documentation and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Visio or equivalent tools.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and information-structuring skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting banking transformation, digital banking, financial technology, or enterprise system implementation projects.
- Experience working in a consulting environment with multiple clients or complex project engagements.
