Java Developer - Springboot - (Banking)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade RESTful APIs and microservices to support banking applications and financial services.
• Translate business and functional requirements into reliable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop secure and scalable backend services following Java and Spring Boot best practices.
• Build, manage, and optimize application dependencies and project builds using Apache Maven.
• Implement business logic, transaction processing, validation, and integration services for banking applications.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal banking systems, external services, databases, and third-party applications.
• Apply appropriate design patterns, coding standards, and software engineering principles to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application reliability and stability.
• Optimize application performance, including API response time, database interactions, memory usage, and overall system efficiency.
• Identify and resolve technical issues across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure developed applications comply with banking security, coding standards, data protection, and system reliability requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Java Developer, Backend Developer, or Software Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java 17 and Spring Boot development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Java Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java application development.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of Spring Boot, including dependency injection, configuration, REST controllers, service layers, and application architecture.
• Hands-on experience using Apache Maven for dependency management, project build, testing, packaging, and deployment preparation.
• Experience developing microservices-based applications is highly preferred.
• Experience working in the banking, financial services, fintech, or other enterprise environments is highly preferred.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced banking project environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
