Production Planner (m/f/d)
Cable Assembly & Plastics Technology
Production Planner (m/f/d)
Vohenstrauß, Oberpfalz · Full-time, permanent · starting immediately
About the position
Behind every deadline your customers rely on, there is a plan. Yours.
Much of what makes our technology run is never seen: it is tucked inside a combine harvester, in construction machinery, in medical devices. That is exactly where our work begins. As an owner-managed system supplier, we, PSZ electronic GmbH, manufacture customized cable assembly and plastics technology with great manual skill and precision, since 2003 and according to ISO 9001. Behind us stands an internationally active group with over 2,500 employees and its own plants in Tunisia, Czech Republic, and Albania. "Dahoam" in the Oberpfalz, but at home in the world.
You will work in our CRP (Capacity Requirement Planning) department: three colleagues in Vohenstrauß plus the team in Tunisia, led by a department head who has been with PSZ for over ten years. From Vohenstrauß, you will manage specifically assigned customers and translate their demand forecasts into planned production orders. Whether it involves one plant or several depends on your customers.
You plan how a complete customer project can run at the respective plant. Which employees stand at which line and when is planned by the plants themselves; the rough production times are provided to you. When an order runs, you coordinate with the internal sales and purchasing departments depending on the situation – direct customer contact is the exception. Your focus is therefore entirely on planning: ensuring that customers and plants can rely on your deadlines.
Tasks
- Demand forecasts: You process your customers' demand forecasts, transfer forecast and delivery plan requirements into the system, and monitor them continuously.
- Early warning system: If customer demands noticeably increase or decrease, you recognize this early and inform the department head before it becomes a problem.
- Production orders: You create your customers' production orders and schedule them in the plants based on predefined criteria – including buffers for short-term customer priorities.
- Capacities: You smooth out utilization at the plant and team level. For new projects or increasing demands, you determine which production capacities are needed and pass the information on.
- Key figures: You participate in the creation of key figures within the framework of our quality standards and norms.
Profile
- Planning experience: You have worked in production planning, scheduling, or Supply Chain and are familiar with the tension between full order books and finite capacities. Much of this role will therefore feel familiar to you.
- Way of working: You are very organized, keep many orders in view in parallel, and are proficient in Excel.
- Technical understanding: You want to understand what you are planning; you do not need to know cable sets and plastic parts yet; you will build up product knowledge with us.
- Languages: good English for international cooperation; French is a plus for communication with our plant in Tunisia.
- Systems: You will learn our in-house developed ERP system from scratch; you do not need prior experience with a specific system.
