Position: Industrial Engineer – Health and Safety Supervisor
Purpose of the position
To guarantee the implementation, supervision, and compliance of health and safety standards in the project, protecting the physical integrity of workers, operational continuity, and legal compliance.
Main responsibilities
- Design, implement, and supervise health and safety protocols on site.
- Perform periodic inspections to identify risks and propose corrective measures.
- Coordinate training in accident prevention, use of personal protective equipment (EPP), and first aid.
- Ensure compliance with national and international occupational safety regulations.
- Prepare technical reports and incident reports for project management.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers the application of safety standards.
- Promote a preventive culture and occupational well-being within the team.
Required profile
Education: Industrial Engineer with specialization or experience in Industrial Health and Safety.
Experience: 2–5 years in safety supervision in industrial or construction projects.
Technical knowledge: OSHA standards, ISO 45001, ergonomics, risk management, emergency plans.
Competencies: Preventive leadership, effective communication, negotiation skills, conflict resolution, results orientation.
Tools: Management of safety management software, MS Office, preparation of technical reports.
Success indicators (KPIs)
- Reduction of accidents and incidents in the project.
- 100% compliance with scheduled inspections.
- Active participation of personnel in training.
