Business Development & Tendering Manager
Responsibilities:
identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Building and maintaining client relationships Leading the development of competitive bids and tender submissions. Coordinating tender strategy, Overseeing preparation of proposals and supporting documentation Ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements Collaborating with technical and project teams to shape winning solutions. Managing tender timelines Analysing RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and bid notices, Maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, Preparing presentations and supporting contract negotiation. Monitoring market trends, contributing to business growth plans, and reporting on business development performance to leadership.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related field; advanced certification in project management or bid management is a plus. Strong skills in business development, client relationship management, and opportunity pipeline management. Proven experience in bid and tender management, including tender strategy, proposal writing, and compliance structuring- NCDMB, OGISP and other regulatory bodies. Competence in project management, planning, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams. Analytical and research abilities for interpreting RFQs, RFIs, RFPs, market intelligence, and competitive landscapes. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with clear and professional written and verbal expression. Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and maintain high attention to detail. Familiarity with consultancy, engineering, infrastructure, or related project environments is an advantage. Proficiency in standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, ERP, NIPEX, SAP ARIBA procurement platforms). Demonstrated integrity, professional judgment, and commitment to structured, compliant processes.
