ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST – OIL & GAS

Prowork is looking for an Electrical Equipment Specialist for an important project in the Oil & Gas sector, based in Villahermosa, Tabasco.

JOB OBJECTIVE

To guarantee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical equipment and systems in Onshore and Offshore facilities, complying with technical, safety, and environmental standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and execute electrical maintenance activities in accordance with OEM procedures and manuals.
• Diagnose electrical equipment, power networks, control systems, cathodic protection, lightning rods, and grounding systems.
• Supervise motors, transformers, and Low, Medium, and High Voltage substations.
• Prepare inspection and maintenance plans.
• Coordinate technicians and maintenance contractors.
• Manage spare parts, requisitions, and technical documentation.
• Interpret single-line diagrams, Loop Diagrams, and Cause-Effect matrices.
• Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, SIMOPS, and arc flash mitigation procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and electrical fault resolution.

REQUIREMENTS

• Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or related degree, graduated.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in Oil & Gas or the petrochemical industry.
• Advanced English
• Certification for operation in Low, Medium, and High Voltage substations.
• Formal training in LOTO and arc flash mitigation.
• Experience in motors, transformers, cathodic protection, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of WHP and ORF production facilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems; SAP is desirable.
