Senior Manager, Loan Operations
Your role in our mission
Ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a highly capable Senior Manager of Loan Operations to join our team. Your primary objective will be to optimize and modernize our loan verification process, moving from manual, touch-heavy procedures to a streamlined, automated operational workflow.
In this role, you will lead, mentor, and motivate our Loan Operations teams in Phoenix and San Francisco, while also overseeing our vendor partnerships. You will champion a strategic approach to scaling our business—focusing on scaling through workflow efficiencies and process improvements rather than linear staffing growth. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will manage operational processes, oversee key vendor relationships, and identify opportunities to integrate modern solutions to improve department-wide productivity & quality.
How you'll make an impact Lead the optimization of our Loan Operation workflows, identifying bottlenecks and incorporating automation to create a scalable, low-friction operation.
Mentor, develop, and guide our operations team in Phoenix and San Francisco, fostering a cohesive, collaborative culture focused on execution and quality.
Establish and execute plans to expand our processing capacity. Success in this role is defined by operational throughput, faster turnaround times, and strategic resource allocation rather than expanding headcount while maintaining strong loan performance.
Use workflow data, pipeline metrics, and quality performance indicators to make informed operational decisions
Directly manage verification vendor partnerships tasked with executing core internal team workflows; hold them strictly accountable to rigorous performance metrics, quality stand
Skills that will help you thrive Experience managing dual-site or multi-site operational processing teams.
Strong track record of analyzing, mapping, and re-engineering workflows to drive automation and efficiency.
7+ years of progressive operational leadership experience within financial services, FinTech, or lending, including direct experience managing other managers and distributed teams.
Hands-on experience supervising outsourced vendors or external processing partners, with a heavy emphasis on metric accountability, SLA enforcement, and quality assurance.
Strong operational mindset with the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement automation solutions (including AI and OCR) to address business challenges.
Proven ability to use operational data to evaluate team performance, identify improvement opportunities, and make clear, data-driven decisions
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, aligning frontline teams and presenting performance updates to department leadership.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Extra credit Hands-on experience in using or implementing AI into workflows to improve efficiency and scale processing capacity.

60-Day Plan: Operational Review & Prioritization
Develop a deep, comprehensive understanding of our manual loan verification workflows, procedures, and systems to evaluate where friction exists.
Identify key opportunities to streamline manual workflows, while simultaneously assessing and reestablishing what our standard KPI metrics should be.
90-Day Plan: Strategic Execution
Implement a solid, documented plan for measuring performance against established KPIs both internally and across external vendor partners.
Drive key changes to manual workflows to ensure streamlined process improvements and identify automation opportunities
