Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess foreseeable workplace and work-process risks.
- Recommend and implement reasonably practicable risk control measures and safe work procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the WSH Act , subsidiary legislation and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with MOM, BCA, HDB and other relevant authorities on WSH matters.
- Administer and maintain the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) .
- Prepare and support the project for external safety audits.
- Conduct internal WSH audits, inspections and site safety checks.
- Monitor project WSH performance and present findings at WSH Committee meetings.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings and WSH training.
- Ensure safety requirements are implemented in accordance with risk assessments and safe work procedures.
Requirements
- MOM-registered WSHO
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of WSH experience in HDB building construction projects
- Good knowledge of the WSH Act, regulations, codes of practice and industry best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to engage and work effectively with site teams, contractors and subcontractors
- Able to work independently and manage site safety requirements.
