Welding Inspector (Steel Structure Works)
Your tasks
- Conduct welding inspections for steel structure works, including material, fit-up, welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
- Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Verify welder qualification records and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform visual inspections of welding works to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
- Witness and coordinate NDT activities where required.
- Review and maintain welding inspection reports, quality records and related documentation.
- Identify welding defects and non-conformances, and monitor corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure welding activities meet quality and safety requirements.
Requirements
Possess a valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification or another qualification specifically accepted by the client.
Relevant experience in welding inspection for steel structure works.
Familiar with welding procedures, material inspection, fit-up inspection and NDT requirements.
Knowledge of welding codes, standards and quality control procedures.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Able to commence work immediately or on short notice.
