Tooling Business Manager (M/F)

The position: Are you looking for your next challenge? Your agency PROMAN ROCHEFORT is looking for a Tooling Business Manager (M/F) for one of its clients, a specialist in aeronautics. Reporting to the Project department of the Tooling Design Office, your mission will be to provide production with specific tooling based on the needs expressed by industrial architects (drilling grids, assembly frames, assembly lines).

Definition and expression of tooling needs: Write functional and technical specifications for the design and manufacture of tooling. Participate in and organize design reviews with internal and external design offices.

Tooling project management: Establish detailed schedules for each tool (studies, manufacturing, qualification, delivery). Monitor the progress of tooling projects in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. Identify potential risks, propose, and implement corrective action plans. Manage budgets allocated to tooling, from consultation to invoice validation.

Supplier relations: Consult tooling suppliers, analyze their technical and commercial offers. Ensure follow-up on commitments. Evaluate supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement.

Technical support and production monitoring: Provide technical support to production teams regarding the use of tooling. Participate in the qualification of tooling and its commissioning. Manage modifications and evolutions of tooling throughout its life cycle.

Reporting: Establish regular reports on the progress of tooling projects to stakeholders (management, project teams).

Profile sought: With a degree in project management, you have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in the industrial field. Alternatively, you are a graduate without experience and wish to join a large company. You have technical skills (mechanical knowledge, mastery of Catia) and an understanding of the issues related to safety and quality in aeronautical production. You have communication and negotiation skills, a good sense of direction, and you know how to find solutions (analysis, rigor, methodology). You have a minimum B2 level in English.
