Network Lead

The Network Lead will oversee day-to-day operations of the enterprise network,ensuring high availability, security, and performance across wireless and cloud environments. The role includes managing a team of network engineers, leading incident resolution, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with enterprise security standards.
What will you do?
Operational Management
- Lead daily network operations, including incident management, service requests, change execution, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain high availability for LAN, WAN, WLAN (wireless),cloud, and hybrid network services.
- Conduct proactive health checks, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for network infrastructure.
- Ensure accurate documentation, diagrams, CMDB updates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Technical Leadership
- Manage and optimize enterprise network platforms including:
- Switching & Routing: Cisco, Alcatel
- Wireless LAN (WLAN): Cisco and Alcatel WLCs and Aps
- NAC / Policy Management: ArubaClearPass
- Firewalls: Check Point, Palo Alto(AWS & On-Prem)
- Load Balancers: F5 BIG-IP
- Proxy / Web Security Solutions
- Oversee SD-WAN deployments and operations, ensuring optimal path selection and hybrid connectivity.
- Implement network and security hardening, including firewall policies, segmentation, vulnerability remediation, and zero-trust principles.
- Support cloud networking (AWS VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPNs).
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers.
- Allocate tasks, review work, and ensure adherence to operational standards.
- Act as escalation point for major incidents and vendor interactions.
- Drive team adoption of automation and monitoring tools to improve operational efficiency.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with security, cloud, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Present operational status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintain compliance with enterprise security and audit requirements
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 8+ years of enterprise networking experience, including 3+years in a leadership role.
Technical Requirements
- Enterprise Networking: L2/L3 switching, VLANs, trunking, routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), HSRP/VRRP/GLBP.
- Wireless Networking: Cisco and Alcatel WLCs, APs, WLAN management, RF planning, site surveys, and troubleshooting.
- Vendor Expertise: Cisco, Alcatel, Aruba ClearPass, CheckPoint & Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, enterprise proxy.
- SD-WAN & Cloud Networking: Cisco SD-WAN, hybrid connectivity, AWS networking.
- Security & Hardening: Firewall optimization, segmentation, Zero Trust principles, vulnerability remediation.
- Monitoring & Automation: SolarWinds, PRTG, Air Wave, scripting/automation (Python, Ansible).
- ITSM Knowledge: Incident, Change, Problem management(ServiceNow preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Networking(or equivalent experience).
Professional and/or Technical Certifications (Preferred)
- CCNP / CCIE, Aruba, Palo Alto, Check Point, F5, AWS networking
