Project Dignity, a.k.a. Dignity Kitchen, is a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to building and restoring dignity to disadvantaged individuals and persons with disabilities through meaningful employment and vocational opportunities. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our growing operations locally and across the region.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and reports in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, GST submissions, payroll processing, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance with all tax obligations.
  • Coordinate and oversee accounting activities for our Hong Kong office and other regional operations.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal departments to support intercompany transactions and grant management activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises in accordance with organisational guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial firms, government agencies, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, audit, and internal financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist in finance process improvements, digitalisation initiatives, and implementation of new accounting systems.
  • Analyse financial data and recommend appropriate financial actions to support management decision-making.
  • Train, guide, and supervise accounting and administrative support staff where required.
  • Undertake any other finance-related duties assigned by management.
