To strengthen our development team, we are looking for an experienced

Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/d).

Your Mission:

You will develop hardware that our customers can rely on in safety-critical applications. From the initial idea through prototypes and tests to successful certification, you will accompany the entire development process of our hardware solutions.

Your Goal: to create reliable and future-proof hardware platforms, drive technical innovations, and help shape the next generation of our diagnostic and protection systems.

Your Tasks

As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will take over the development and further development of our embedded hardware solutions:

• You develop and optimize hardware for industrial and safety-critical applications
• You create prototypes and perform functional, verification, and validation tests
• You define test systems and develop suitable test environments for hardware and software components
• You support certification and release processes, taking relevant safety standards into account
• You work closely with Product Management, Hardware and Software Development, IoT Solutions, Cyber Security, and Customer Support
• You evaluate new technologies and contribute your own ideas to the further development of our hardware platforms
• You document development and test results in German and English
• You actively contribute to shaping the future hardware strategy of our company

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable technical field
• Several years of experience in the development of electrical assemblies and systems
• Good knowledge of Linux-based systems
• Experience in programming with C/C++
• Experience in testing, verification, and validation of hardware components
• Structured, analytical way of working and a high awareness of quality
• Good written and spoken English skills

Advantageous

• Experience with ATEX and IECEx certifications according to IEC 60079
• Knowledge of functional safety according to IEC 61508
• Knowledge in the field of Cyber Security
