Role Description This is a full-time Data Scientist (Ops) role in a hybrid work arrangement based in Singapore, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Data Scientist (Ops) will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and operational analytics workflows that support ProfilePrint’s AI fingerprint platform and quality assessment processes. Responsibilities include data processing and analysis, developing ML models, and participating in client support alongside account managers. The role will collaborate closely with both the frontline and the backend to architect appropriate solutions for clients, develop and implement them, and also provide continued servicing. The Data Scientist (Ops) will also contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement of the technology stack.
Qualifications Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, with the ability to apply statistical methods to real-world operational problems. Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis for cleaning, transforming, and interpreting large, complex datasets. Hands-on experience with programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and SQL for querying databases. Familiarity with machine learning workflows, model deployment, and monitoring in production environments. Comfortable working with cloud-based data infrastructure and collaborative tools in a hybrid work setting. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to conduct process analysis and negotiate. Experience in agri-food, manufacturing, or supply chain analytics is highly beneficial Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, as the role requires effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders in Singapore, as well as regular coordination with the team in China.
