Quality Engineer - Electrical and Automation
About the client You will become part of an international technology company with long experience in developing solutions within electrification, automation, and digitalization. The Swedish engineering organization consists of approximately 70 employees distributed between Västerås, Kista, and Malmö. As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this development and help strengthen quality assurance in the industrial and energy projects of the future. About the position As a Quality Engineer within electrical and automation, you will become part of the quality organization and report to the Quality Manager. You will be part of a quality team that currently consists of two people and works mainly towards the engineering operations, where you function as an independent quality partner in the various phases of projects. The role is not about performing project deliveries or technical activities in the projects yourself. Instead, you are responsible for ensuring that the project organization works according to customer requirements, standards, processes, and regulatory requirements. Through review, follow-up, support, and quality assurance, you contribute to ensuring that quality is built into the deliveries from the beginning. You will become part of an operation where the quality function is under development. The work covers the entire project lifecycle, from the tender phase and engineering to installation, testing, and final delivery. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure that projects meet both technical and quality requirements. The role offers varied work where you get to combine technical understanding with quality management, requirement management, and quality assurance in complex project environments. Your competence We are looking for you who have: A Civil Engineer or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree within a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in quality work and a good understanding of quality principles in practice.
Experience of quality processes, document control, and auditing work.
A technical background with a good understanding of electrical, automation, or related technical areas.
Experience from large technical projects and an understanding of project work.
The ability to interpret standards, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
Experience in requirement management, quality follow-up, and documentation control.
Good communication skills and experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have experience from standard-driven or regulatory operations, for example, working according to IEC, SS-EN, ATEX, or SIL. Experience from nuclear power is particularly interesting as the business sees a growing need within this area. Experience from the process industry, automotive industry, or medical technology is also valuable, as is experience from large project deliveries where quality, documentation, and traceability have been central parts. As a person, you are structured and meticulous with a genuine interest in quality. You work independently while also enjoying close collaboration with others and have a pedagogical approach.
