Digital Transformation Engineer

We are now looking for an engineer for a long-term assignment at a leading technology company within the defense industry. You will become part of an organization that drives digital transformation by developing common platforms, working methods, and technical capabilities used widely across the business. The role differs from the traditional systems engineer role and combines system understanding, architecture, and practical development work with change management and close collaboration with the business. The work takes place in shorter, intensive projects where, together with developers, architects, and specialists, you help different parts of the business accelerate their technical development. The focus is on analyzing complex systems, identifying solutions that can be reused, and creating conditions for scalable working methods. Once the solution is established, responsibility is handed over to the business, which means great variation between assignments. In the role, you will among other things: Design and further develop common software platforms and technical solutions.
Analyze system behavior, architecture, and performance to identify opportunities for improvement and reuse.
Work with modern technologies within AI, cloud solutions, distributed systems, and real-time environments.
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, systems engineers, and the business to translate technical needs into sustainable solutions.
Contribute to platform strategy, technical direction, and the establishment of best practice.
Be a driving force in the digital transformation by supporting teams in new working methods and technical solutions.

Your competence We are looking for you who has: Experience working with complex technical systems.
Experience in programming, regardless of programming language.
Practical experience in using AI to analyze or improve technical systems.
Ability to analyze system behavior, architecture, and the interaction between different systems.
Good analytical ability and experience in problem-solving in technical environments.
Good knowledge of English.
It is meritorious if you have experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, or real-time environments. Experience in platform development, technical architecture, or security-critical systems with high requirements for reliability is also seen as a plus.
