About the client
You will become part of an international technology company with long experience in developing solutions within electrification, automation, and digitalization. The business delivers advanced projects to some of Sweden's most socially important industries, where customers are found within, among others, energy, power production, process industry, and pharmaceutical industry.
The Swedish engineering organization consists of approximately 70 employees distributed between Västerås, Kista, and Malmö. Here, project managers, automation engineers, electrical designers, and other technical specialists work together in multidisciplinary project teams with a focus on quality, safety, and long-term customer relationships.
The business is in an exciting development phase with an increased focus on projects where high regulatory requirements, quality, and documentation are central. As a Quality Engineer, you will become an important part of this initiative and get the opportunity to influence how quality work develops in future industrial and energy projects.
About the position
As a Quality Engineer within electrical and automation, you will become part of an engineering organization that delivers automation and electrification solutions to some of Sweden's most socially important industries. The role combines technical understanding with structured quality work and gives you the opportunity to contribute to the development of future industrial and energy projects.
You will become part of a developing business where quality work, documentation, and regulatory requirements play an increasingly important role. As the business's first Quality Engineer, you will have a unique opportunity to influence how the quality function develops and contribute to creating working methods that strengthen project deliveries in the long term.
The work covers the entire project lifecycle – from tender and design to installation, testing, and final inspection. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure that deliveries meet both technical requirements and applicable standards.
Your tasks include, among others:
Participate in tender and bidding work from a quality perspective.
Interpret and implement standards, regulations, and customer requirements in the projects' quality work.
Develop quality plans, control plans, ITP, and risk assessments.
Ensure the projects' quality and documentation structure.
Review and verify technical documentation.
Act as a quality support to project managers and technical specialists.
Participate in FAT, follow up with suppliers, and conduct supplier audits if necessary.
Perform quality controls, handle deviations, and contribute with root cause analyses.
Compile quality documentation ahead of final inspection and handover.
Contribute to developing quality processes, working methods, and internal knowledge within the organization.
The role offers varied work where you combine technical reviews with quality follow-up and improvement work. You will be gradually introduced to the business and initially work closely with experienced colleagues before taking on greater individual responsibility.

Your competence
We are looking for you who have:
A technical background with a good understanding of electrical, automation, or related technical areas.
Experience from large technical projects.
An interest in quality, requirement management, and documentation control.
The ability to interpret and work according to standards and regulatory requirements.
Good communication skills.
Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have experience from standard-driven or regulatory businesses, for example, working according to IEC, SS-EN, ATEX, or SIL. Experience from nuclear power, process industry, automotive industry, or medical technology is also valuable, as is knowledge of quality processes, documentation control, auditing, or large project deliveries.
As a person, you are structured and meticulous with a genuine interest in quality. You work independently while also enjoying close collaboration with others and have a pedagogical approach. With a solution-oriented working method and good communication skills, you create trust with both colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
