About the Role
Role Overview
proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.
Our immediate requirement is for a Graduate Commercial Estimator to be a key part of our Egham team.
This is a structured 12-month rotational programme designed to develop a well-rounded understanding of the estimating function and wider business operations. The successful candidate will rotate across three core areas, each supported by experienced mentors, enabling both technical skill development and commercial awareness.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to build a career within AV, estimating, or related disciplines. Following completion of the programme, there will be the opportunity to progress within the team or explore wider opportunities across the business.
Experience and seniority of the position will be reflected by the remuneration and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Rotate across three core business areas over a 12-month period:
Commercial Estimating and Design
Residential Estimating and Design
Vendor Management and Suppliers
Support the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and technical documentation.
Assist with interpreting client requirements and translating them into AV solutions.
Develop an understanding of AV system design principles and associated cost drivers.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to support project delivery and pricing accuracy.
Engage with suppliers and vendors to understand product offerings, pricing, and procurement processes.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data within internal systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Build a strong understanding of the wider business structure and operations.
Desirable skills
Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
Interest in Audio Visual technology and/or construction/technical environments.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Native-level English proficiency (essential for interpreting technical documentation accurately).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Adaptability and eagerness to take on new challenges.
Hours of work
40 hours per week, 9 hours a day, 8.30am-5.30pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
