About the company

Privé Technologies is a B2B2C WealthTech SaaS company headquartered in Hong Kong with a Singapore entity, serving 60+ financial institutions across 16 jurisdictions. Its platforms provide end-to-end solutions for banks, financial advisers, independent asset managers and insurance companies. The Product Solutions & Innovation (PSI) team integrates Product, Innovation, and Solutions delivery under a unified structure.

Privé's software is used every day by Relationship Managers, advisers and end-investors to value portfolios, discover investments, build proposals and review performance. These are dense, data-heavy workflows where clarity directly affects the quality of financial decisions. Good design at Privé means making complex financial information easy to read, trust and act on.

Your tasks

The Product Design Intern joins the PSI team to help design the interfaces that institutional clients and their end-investors use across the Privé platform. The role covers UI improvements to existing modules, design work for new features, and user research that informs both.

The intern works directly with the Product team and engineering, taking designs from first concept in Figma through to handover and review of the built product. It is a hands-on role with real output: work produced during the internship is expected to ship to production or be used in client-facing workshops and prototypes.

1. UI Design

  • Study existing platform screens and propose UI improvements, backed by a clear rationale (usability, consistency, accessibility or business goal).
  • Produce high-fidelity designs, components and interactive prototypes in Figma that follow Privé's design system.
  • Design data-dense views such as portfolio summaries, tables, charts and proposal flows so they stay readable on desktop and mobile.
  • Contribute to maintaining and extending the design system's components and guidelines.

2. User Research & Behavioural Modelling

  • Take part in design and research projects to understand the changing needs of Relationship Managers, advisers and end-investors.
  • Help define and maintain user archetypes and behavioural patterns, and use them to frame design decisions.
  • Support usability testing and client design workshops: prepare materials, take notes and synthesise findings into actionable recommendations.

3. Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with product managers and developers to turn designs into shipped features.
  • Prepare clean design handovers with states, edge cases and annotations that engineering can build against without further interpretation.
  • Review built screens against the designs and log discrepancies before release.

4. Visual & Marketing Design Support

  • Support occasional graphic design needs such as presentation visuals, product imagery and digital marketing assets.
  • Use AI design tools (including Figma's built-in AI features and Gemini Canvas) to speed up exploration and prototyping.

Requirements

The successful candidate is curious about how people make financial decisions, comfortable presenting and defending design choices, and quick to adopt AI-assisted design tools to work faster.

Essential

  • At least one year of working experience in design, or currently studying or recently graduated in a design-related field (UI/UX, interaction design, visual communication or similar).
  • A portfolio showing UI/UX work, with the reasoning and process behind the final designs.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, components and prototyping, and familiarity with Figma's built-in AI tools.
  • A working understanding of user-centred design: research methods, user flows, wireframing and usability testing.
  • A keen eye for visual hierarchy, typography and layout.
  • Ability to explain and defend design decisions to product, engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team where role boundaries are fluid and initiative is expected.

Desirable

  • Experience with Gemini Canvas or other AI-assisted prototyping tools.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar design applications.
  • Graphic design or digital marketing design experience.
  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the financial industry, wealth management or FinTech.
  • Experience designing data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, tables or charts.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS) and how designs are built.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese.
